Tech Lead - Frontend (React)

We are Ascentic, a Swe-Lankan Software development partner in Colombo. Founded in 2017 to support Swedish clients with their software needs we have quickly scaled up into a stable, yet still growing, company. Today we are over 100+ geeky and dedicated Ascenders, with the aspiration of together creating the best workplace in Sri Lanka.

Right now, we are looking for a Tech Lead - Frontend (React) to join our crew. Is that you?

 What You Bring

• 8+ years of high-level frontend engineering with expert React expertise.

• Strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, scalable component design, and state architecture.

• Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as Next.js, Angular, and Vue, and/or frontend-focused full-stack experience with .NET or Node.js.

• A proven track record of leading frontend initiatives, making architectural decisions, and mentoring developers.

• Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and client-handling skills, able to clarify ambiguity, present options, explain trade-offs, and influence decisions with confidence and tact.

• Strong grounding in UX, accessibility, and performance optimization.

• A mindset that embraces AI-augmented development tools and adapts quickly to emerging technologies.
  

What You’ll Lead

• Define and uphold frontend architecture, standards, and best practices.

• Work closely with Nordic clients, steering technical conversations, advising on decisions, and setting realistic expectations while maintaining strong partnership dynamics.

• Build clean, scalable solutions and elevate the team through mentorship and technical leadership.
