Job Title: DB Developer (PL/SQL)

Experience: 4–5 Years (5+ Years also acceptable)
Location: Chennai / Hyderabad

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL who can quickly understand the existing Validata codebase and contribute effectively within a short time. Prior experience in the Life Sciences domain—including areas such as Contracts, Plans, Products, and Pharmacy Master—is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand, analyze, and enhance existing PL/SQL code within the Validata platform.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, cursors, and temporary table operations.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of database components.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams for requirement understanding and solution design.
• Ensure high-quality coding standards, modularity, and maintainability in all deliverables.

Required Skills

PL/SQL Fundamentals

• Strong knowledge of:
• Procedures and Views
• Functions
• Loops and Cursors
• Temporary Table Operations
• Index usage and management
• Debugging techniques

Performance Tuning

• Modularity improvements
• Index and partition optimization
• Query tuning, execution plans, and hints
• Efficient exception handling

Good to Have

• Experience with any Unit Testing (UT) framework for PL/SQL

Preferred Experience

• 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development
• Exposure to Life Sciences domain (optional but beneficial)
