Software Engineer, Config UI

We’re looking for a curious and motivated Associate Backend Engineer to join our Config UI team. This is the squad responsible by the configuration and management area from Pismo's Control Center, the main web application from Pismo, with frontend and backend developers bringing innovation and usability to our software.

• Design and implement backend services that integrate with internal APIs to support operational features in the Control-Center.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure backend solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and platform teams to deliver high-quality services.
• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and documentation.
• Apply secure coding practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering standards.
• Demonstrates technical knowledge to interpret requirements and contribute to system design.
• Applies backend development expertise using Golang, REST, GraphQL, and AWS.
• Contributes to design documentation and validates alignment with non-functional requirements.
• Applies secure coding practices and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote

Basic Qualitications

• Basic understanding of backend development principles and RESTful API design
• Exposure to or interest in working with Golang, GraphQL, and AWS
• Willingness to learn and apply debugging tools to resolve issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. comfortable working in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated tests
• Experience as fullstack developer
