Backend Software Engineer at Inuits

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer with exceptional engineering discipline and FAANG-level standards to build and scale backend systems for an AI-powered product used by growing organizations. This flexible role operates in a startup-intensive environment and includes participation in calls with US-based customer as part of delivering real-world product impact.

About the Project

You’ll help build and scale the backend and platform systems that power intelligent, AI-driven workflows over large organizational datasets. The platform is designed for speed, reliability, and continuous iteration, offering meaningful technical ownership in a high-growth startup setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend and platform services;

• Build APIs and data pipelines that support AI and agent-driven workflows;

• Integrate backend systems with cloud infrastructure and data stores;

• Take end-to-end ownership of features in a fast-moving startup environment;

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions;

• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering;

• Strong proficiency in Python, backend API development, and system design;

• Experience with AWS and relational SQL databases;

• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and thrive in a startup-intensive environment;

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in English.

• Nice to have: experience working with LLMs, agentic frameworks, or RAG-based systems;
