Job description

Diligent Pharma is seeking a full-time motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing commercial team. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this individual will play a key role in driving top-of-funnel growth and fueling the company’s revenue pipeline.


The BDR will be responsible for identifying and connecting with high-value prospects within the life sciences and clinical research ecosystem. They will engage potential clients through targeted outreach—via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels—to generate qualified meetings for the sales team.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives on proactive outreach, can work independently, and takes ownership of their pipeline-building efforts. Success will be measured by qualified meetings booked, not just volume of outreach activity.


Core Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage: Identify and reach out to potential clients through outbound calls, personalized emails, and social outreach (primarily LinkedIn).
  • Qualify leads: Evaluate prospect fit based on Diligent’s ideal customer profile, business needs, and buying readiness.
  • Book meetings: Schedule qualified discovery calls or demos with decision-makers for the Sales Executives and Head of Sales.
  • Own your pipeline: Manage all outreach activity, follow-ups, and pipeline stages within the CRM to ensure accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with sales leadership and marketing to refine messaging, target lists, and campaign strategies.
  • Continuously improve: Stay informed about Diligent’s solutions, market trends, and the clinical trials ecosystem to articulate the company’s value proposition confidently.
  • Meet performance goals: Consistently achieve or exceed weekly and monthly targets for meetings set and opportunities created.
  • Contribute ideas: Provide insights from prospect interactions to help optimize outreach strategies and inform the go-to-market approach.


Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience required in a sales prospecting, lead generation, or SDR/BDR role with a proven record of booking qualified meetings
  • Experience in clinical trials or life sciences industry preferred
  • Experience using AI tools for research, personalization, or prospecting efficiency preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


Knowledge

  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in modern CRM systems and outreach tools

  • Organized and disciplined, with strong attention to detail and time management
  • Self-motivated and proactive
