About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data team and take the lead in building out a scalable semantic layer and the dashboards that fuel self-serve analytics across VeVe. Long term our goal is to include more integrations with AI, and you will be a big part of what that looks like!

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. You’ll work closely with the Lead Data Engineer and cross-functional teams — from Product to Marketing to Operations — to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll be hands-on in building our trusted, consistent data models that help our entire business make faster, smarter decisions. 

This is a remote role, ideally based in a Southeast Asian time zone.

What you’ll be doing

• Building the foundation for reliable and scalable analytics across the business
• Owning and developing our core semantic layer in dbt
• Designing and maintaining trusted dashboards
• Building pipelines that ensure data accuracy, freshness, and trust in our metrics
• Working with stakeholders to define metrics and translate business needs into scalable data products
• Leading projects from idea through to delivery, with plenty of autonomy

You’ll thrive in this role if you have

• 4+ years in an analytics engineering or similar, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment
• The ability to be a strong communicator who can adapt your message and style to suit technical experts, executives, and everyone in between - ensuring alignment and understanding at every level
• Deep SQL expertise and hands-on experience with dbt
• Proven ability to build a clean, well-documented semantic layer in dbt and dashboards using tools like Metabase, Looker, or Tableau
• Experience managing data quality in a cloud warehouse (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake)
• Solid Git/version control practices and code quality habits
• A love for clean, trusted data and enabling teams to make decisions
• Bonus: familiarity with Dagster, or marketing/growth data
