Full Stack Engineer (Remote CET +/-3)

We are hiring on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join a fast-paced, startup-style environment. The role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work across the entire stack, owning both frontend and backend components.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js / React

• Working knowledge of Java backend development (Quarkus)

• Solid understanding of REST API design and integration

• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL

• Experience with data migration, database scaling, and performance tuning

• Familiarity with authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2)

• Experience working with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Comfortable operating in a startup environment with changing priorities

• Knowledge of caching and load balancing (e.g. Redis, CDN, ALB)

• Exposure to AWS services is a plus

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• UI/UX sensibility to build intuitive dashboards and user flows

• Experience in iGaming

• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or serverless architectures

• Exposure to Flutter or mobile development for cross-team collaboration

Key Responsibilities

• Translate Figma designs and wireframes into responsive, accessible frontends using Next.js/React

• Own frontend UI/UX and deliver smooth, high-performance user experiences

• Integrate frontend components with REST APIs and microservices

• Design and implement robust backend APIs using Java (Quarkus)

• Apply SOLID, DRY, hexagonal architecture, and microservice design principles

• Contribute to backend modules as needed

• Optimize performance, security, and scalability across the stack

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with unit and integration tests

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation
