Engagement: Independent Contractor
Schedule: U.S. Business Hours (synchronous + open to working on weekends rather than Monday/Tuesday for better schedule overlap)

Salary: $6000, negotiable based on experience

About the Opportunity

Interested in working on a green-field project with the opportunity to build a new SaaS platform from scratch? We are seeking a highly capable Full-Stack Engineer who can independently develop a platform from end-to-end. You will collaborate closely with Co-Founders to a ship high-traction software from scratch - zero-to-one - building with C#, .NET, React and TypeScript.

Who You’ll Work With

A sharp, complementary founding duo:

• Technical Lead – 5+ years at Microsoft & Citadel, building production-grade systems
• Business Lead – Mega-fund VC with deep SaaS experience in scaling, GTM, and strategy

What You’ll Do

Backend (Primary)

●       Build new backend services and APIs using C# and .NET

●       Design and architect scalable system components, data models, and API contracts

●       Setup and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

●       Build cloud-first infrastructure with containerization and orchestration

●       Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability

Frontend (Secondary)

●       Build feature-rich, responsive web interfaces using React + TypeScript

●       Integrate frontend and backend systems end-to-end

●       Translate user needs into practical solutions using a product-first mindset

Engineering Practices

●       Act like an owner - we are building a quality system from the ground-up

●       Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical scoping

●       Surface issues early and loudly - propose solutions, and help improve the final product

Requirements

●       At least 3+ years of experience in software development/engineering

●       Strong backend development experience (C#, .NET preferred or Java)

●       Working knowledge of frontend development in React and TypeScript

●       Experience building and maintaining production web applications.

●       Solid understanding of modern web architecture (APIs, state management, component design)

●       Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills (C1 level or higher).

●       Comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving startup environments

●       Bachelor Degree or higher in a technical field such as engineering (summa, magna or cum laude and/or Academic Scholar from a reputable college preferred)

Preferred Backgrounds:

●       Computer Science, Software Engineering (degree or equivalent experience).

●       Experience in SaaS, startups, or product-led engineering teams.

●       Portfolio demonstrating shipped front-end and back-end features.

●       Familiarity with cloud services, CI/CD, or testing frameworks.

●       Completed advanced coursework in algorithms, systems, or software architecture.
