Interior Design Coordinator - Remote

Job description

Description

Backed by Callaway Golf and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments, Five Iron blends world-class technology with hospitality-driven service across its sports bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues. With 35 locations open and more than 50 in the pipeline worldwide, the brand is expanding its reach while remaining rooted in innovation, inclusivity, and community connection.

5i is not your traditional country club. We aspire to establish a casual, relaxed environment for golfers and non-golfers alike. We are a fun and growing company with an urban vibe. We offer indoor golf simulation, lessons, golf fittings, events, and food and beverage service.

We are seeking an Interior Design Coordinator in any city, preferably on the east coast, to support the rapid growth of our franchise portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Interior Design & Art, this role will play a critical hands-on and coordination-heavy function across multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate brings strong interior design fundamentals, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage a large network of vendors, consultants, and franchise partners while helping execute Five Iron Golf’s brand standards across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Documentation

  • Support the VP of Interior Design & Art in the execution of interior design packages for franchise locations, ensuring alignment with Five Iron Golf brand standards.
  • Develop furniture layouts and elevations, furniture selections, lighting plans, finish palettes, and fixture specifications for new and retrofit locations.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation including floor plans, furniture plans, finish schedules, lighting specs, and mood boards.
  • Assist in adapting core design standards to site-specific conditions while maintaining consistency across the portfolio.

Vendor & Consultant Coordination

  • Manage extensive coordination with furniture, lighting, finishes, millwork, and specialty vendors across multiple projects.
  • Request, review, and organize vendor quotes, lead times, samples, and submittals.
  • Track vendor deliverables, pricing, substitutions, and approvals across multiple franchise projects simultaneously.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between vendors, franchisees, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues including lead time conflicts, substitutions, budget constraints, and logistics challenges.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional interior design experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or experiential environments.
  • Strong experience with furniture layout and selection, lighting, finishes, and material coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of vendor coordination across multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Google Sketchup as a 3D tool for developing 3D design models and/or details as needed. Ability to produce renderings using Sketchup or other software highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with internal teams, franchise partners, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ability to balance design quality with budget, schedule, and operational constraints.
  • Experience supporting franchise or multi-unit rollouts.
  • Familiarity with FF&E procurement processes and lead-time management.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comfortable traveling up to once per month for quick site visits.

Benefits:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Long and Short Term Disability
  • Accident and Critical Illness Insurance
  • 401K
