About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level database solutions that support mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in SQL development, database architecture, and performance optimization, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views
- Architect and support scalable, high-performance database solutions for enterprise applications
- Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and root cause analysis
- Support data modeling, schema design, and database enhancements aligned with business and system requirements
- Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and system architects to deliver integrated solutions
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational governance standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- LCAT/Level: Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, Senior
- Strong experience in SQL development within enterprise environments
- Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and database architecture
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in multi-environment setups
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Security Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to successfully complete Entry on Duty (EOD) and any required privileged access or background screening processes
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office or remote office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 15–50 pounds occasionally, if required
