Senior Python Developer (Tech Lead)

Role Overview

The Python Developer (Tech Lead) position focuses on overseeing several internal services and leading the technical roadmap. The role requires strong ownership, the ability to guide architectural decisions, and hands-on leadership across backend services, automation, APIs, and ML/AI-related components.

You will collaborate closely with DevOps and take full lifecycle responsibility for Python services, from design to deployment and ongoing reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the technical roadmap and architectural direction for Python services

• Lead development using Python + Django (main framework)

• Build and maintain APIs, automation, data pipelines, and backend components

• Own services end-to-end: development, testing, deployments, monitoring

• Collaborate closely with DevOps on scalable cloud-native deployments

• Ensure automation and CI/CD best practices

• Support ML/AI-related integrations when required

• Contribute to continuous improvement, planning, and backlog refinement

• Mentor engineers, lead technical decisions, and support multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Python engineering

• Proven experience owning or leading services end-to-end

• Strong expertise with Django and microservice architectures

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Solid CI/CD and automation experience

• Strong cloud-native mindset and familiarity with distributed systems

• Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams

• High level of independence and readiness to take ownership

Nice to have:

• Experience with Java or Go

• RDBMS and SQL expertise

• DevOps or cloud experience

• Knowledge of AI/ML workflows or speech-related technologies
