Senior Software Engineer - Data

Location Details: India - Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.​

Remote: This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

What you'll get to do...

• Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics using Spark, Airflow, and streaming technologies like Kafka/Kinesis.
• Develop and support APIs, utilities, and microservices to enable data access for internal applications and machine learning products.
• Write reliable, production-ready code to transform and deliver data for both batch and real time processing.
• Build and handle data models, metrics and feature stores to drive recommendations, personalization and analytics.
• Ensure data quality, observability and lineage, while collaborating with multi functional teams to deliver impactful, data driven solutions.

Your experience should include...

• 4+ years building data intensive distributed systems and production grade pipelines in the cloud (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, Java or Scala with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with Spark/EMR, Glue, Airflow and streaming systems such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation, Docker/Kubernetes, and API development standards.

You might also have...

• Experience with search technologies such as Open Search, Elastic Search or Vector Search for domain similarity and semantic enrichment.
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI pipelines including platforms like SageMaker, Bedrock or Databricks.
• Knowledge of data governance, observability, and quality frameworks, with a focus on building reliable and scalable data systems.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
