CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Java & Web Technologies position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/JEE technology stack.
Implement web services and integrate enterprise systems to support business requirements.
Utilize Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby or Groovy for web development.
Apply software design principles including dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming.
Develop and maintain test-driven applications using functional programming concepts.
Implement data access and transaction management frameworks, including batch processing.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system integration challenges.
Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
Skills:
Strong expertise in Java backend development and application frameworks.
Experience with Guice and other dependency injection frameworks.
Proficient in developing and consuming web services (REST/SOAP).
Knowledge of enterprise application integration and transaction management frameworks.
Familiarity with functional programming and test-driven development.
Understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment tools.
Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions.
Experience:
Proven experience in enterprise Java/JEE application development.
Hands-on experience with web frameworks and modern web technologies.
Exposure to integrating multiple systems using web services.
Experience with batch processing and transaction management frameworks.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
