SQL Developer

Overview:

Alera Group is looking for a SQL Developer to join our Vital Incite team in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose support tickets by researching the source of data issues to determine root causes including invalid data, logic issues, or the need for enhancements to the system. Perform analysis by querying the database to determine how the data exists and the reason it is not being properly represented in our systems or what is causing it to not process correctly through our custom logic
• Use TSQL to develop and maintain database structure, stored procedures, and data to support our custom logic
• Debug stored procedures and dynamic SQL to correct issues with logic or identify the cause of failures. Determine the appropriate solution to the issue, implement the correction, and verify the solution is working correctly
• Manage tickets in a timely manner based on prioritization to support the business needs for accurate data reporting
• Maintain and support Vital Incite’s proprietary data mapping process to ingest data files directly into Vital Incite warehouse

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including writing and debugging T‑SQL (queries, stored procedures, views, and functions) using SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio
• Strong data analysis skills, with experience querying data, analyzing trends, diagnosing discrepancies, and troubleshooting SQL logic to understand data transformations and outcomes
• Preferred experience with healthcare claims data and SSIS

Additional Information:

This job is fully remote. Preference is given to applicants in the Indianapolis area for office visits throughout the year.

Salary range is $80K to 100K per year.
