Manager Position I Direct Tax (Including Transfer Pricing)

We as finance organization in the Company are responsible for accounting, budgeting, planning, forecasting, tax and STPI and SEZ compliances (including CSR) and reporting the results. Role Overview

The Manager – Direct Tax is responsible for end‑to‑end direct tax compliances, withholding tax management, assessments, litigation support, and tax advisory, ensuring full compliance with Indian Income‑tax laws while supporting business‑efficient tax outcomes. Also, end‑to‑end transfer pricing compliances, documentation, audits, and litigation support for international and specified domestic transactions, ensuring compliance with Indian TP regulations, BAPA filing and related compliance as per OECD guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate income‑tax compliances, including advance tax, self‑assessment tax, and annual return filings.
  • Oversee withholding tax (TDS) compliances—deduction, deposit, quarterly returns, and issuance of Form 16/16A.
  • Review tax implications for domestic and foreign remittances, expatriate taxation, and cash repatriation.
  • Coordinate statutory audit, tax audits and transfer pricing audits with internal teams and external auditors.
  • Support income‑tax assessments, refunds, rectifications, and litigation matters, including coordination with tax authorities and consultants.
  • Monitor Form 26AS / AIS reconciliation and ensure timely closure of mismatches.
  • Provide tax advisory and interpretation of law amendments to business and finance stakeholders.
  • Prepare management tax updates and MIS on compliances, audits, and litigation status.
  • Manage transfer pricing compliances for international and specified domestic transactions.
  • Review Transfer Pricing documentation, including Local File and related disclosures.
  • Support TP audits and assessments, including preparation of submissions and coordination with consultants and tax authorities.  
  • Lead MAP / APA / BAPA matters, where applicable, and support dispute resolution.
  • Partner with business, finance, and global tax teams on inter‑company pricing and policy matters.
  • Track regulatory developments in TP and assess business impact

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Indian Income‑tax Act and TDS provisions
  • Hands‑on experience in corporate tax, assessments, and audits
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and external advisors
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
  • High compliance orientation and attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
  • 6–10 years of experience in direct tax / corporate taxation
  • Experience in large corporates or consulting firms preferred
