Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated DevOps / Cloud Solutions Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a government technology initiative. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining scalable AWS cloud solutions while partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into fully implemented, production-ready systems.
Required:
Strong AWS cloud engineering experience (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway)
Full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps best practices
Knowledge of AWS networking, IAM security, and monitoring tools
Scripting experience (Python or Node.js)
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-native solutions within AWS
Develop and maintain full-stack applications and APIs supporting business workflows
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using IaC and DevOps methodologies
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve release reliability and speed
Implement event-driven and serverless architectures to support modern application needs
Monitor system performance, security, and operational health across cloud environments
Translate business requirements into fully tested and production-ready technical solutions
Support quality assurance efforts including automated testing strategies
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and cloud optimization
Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and technical innovation initiatives
The base pay range for this position is $50 – $60, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
