Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer, you will:

• Develop new features across both backend and frontend within a large legacy monolith.
• Support and drive frontend modernizations, including migrating components to React.
• Apply and advocate for tools, workflows, and practical use of AI that help accelerate the development process.
• Troubleshoot and improve complex legacy code while maintaining quality, stability, and performance.
• Collaborate with backend-focused developers who have limited frontend experience.

• Java 8
• PostgreSQL
• AWS (infrastructure and services related to the monolith)
• Some microservices

Frontend

• Incremental migration to React
• Use of Web Components and internal UI libraries
• Legacy JavaScript/HTML/CSS

Tools & Practices

• Modern IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ, VS Code)
• Familiarity with practical developer acceleration tools (including AI-assisted workflows)

Key Requirements

• Solid professional experience as a Full Stack Developer working in both backend and frontend contexts.
• Proven experience maintaining and enhancing legacy codebases.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8 and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Hands-on experience with React or equivalent modern frontend frameworks.
• Comfortable reading and improving existing code.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based environments.
• Understanding of developer productivity tooling and practical applications of AI to improve workflows.
• Experience with Web Components or similar UI abstractions is a plus.
