Overview

Outsource Ability, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial records and support the organisations accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Bank Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Payroll Support: Provide assistance with payroll processing and related documentation.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
Audit Preparation: Support the preparation of documentation for audits and financial reviews.
Communication: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding financial matters.

Qualifications

2 to 4 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

Equipment & Connectivity Requirements

To perform effectively in this role, candidates must have:

Their own laptop and headset (capable of supporting accounting and communication tools).
Reliable power supply (Solar, UPS, or Inverter) to ensure uninterrupted work.
Stable internet connection (sufficient speed for accounting systems, reporting, and video conferencing).
