Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Technical Consultant who will take ownership of cross-team technical topics such as IT security, quality assurance, release management, user experience engineering, and operational integration. In this role, you will contribute your technical expertise to support platform development, ensure adherence to standards, and coordinate cross-functional activities within a modern SAFe/Scrum environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent security, testing, usability, and reporting standards in platform development.
  • Conduct risk and compliance assessments and define necessary measures.
  • Plan and manage quality assurance and release processes (test strategy, test execution, release management).
  • Support and coordinate the rollout of new features and secure sustainable integration into operations (incl. hypercare).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and training materials for specialist departments.
  • Provide expert consulting on IT security standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities proactively.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management, including 2nd/3rd level support.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes for relevant technical and operational activities.
  • Develop and maintain deployment concepts and release plans.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and methodological standards (SAFe, NIS2, ISO 27000, etc.).
  • Ensure adherence to IT process standards (IT4IT, ITIL, COBIT, PM).
  • Create operational concepts and support their integration into operational systems (e.g., Splunk).


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in IT security, QA, compliance, or UX engineering.
  • Ideally certified (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS, CTA, CWA, ISTQB, IREB).
  • Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum).
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Office, Miro.
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, ownership, and hands-on mentality.
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow technology stack (e.g., J2EE, Rhino, MySQL, web servers).
  • Strong knowledge of IT operations processes, architecture, and technology stacks.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Completed technical education (HTL, university, applied sciences) or at least 5 years IT experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience in IT security, test management, or compliance within the last 5 years.
  • Demonstrable experience in agile software development projects (SAFe / Scrum).
  • Strong practical experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and Miro.
  • Proven ability to create technical documentation and communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Fluent German (C1+) and very good English (B2+), written and spoken.
