Snowflake Administrator

Position: Snowflake Administrator Location: Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore/Mumbai/Pune/Coimbatore

Primary Skill-Nature of Work:

• 50% Production Support (Tickets, admin activities)
  
• 50% Enhancement/POCs (exploring new features of Snowflake)/ Snowflake DBA
  

Experience: 5-12 Years

Location: Chennai/Mumbai/Hyderabad/Bangalore/Pune

Technical Skills:

• Must Have (Primary): Snowflake Admin
  
• Good to Have: Teradata Admin
  

Requirements:

• The candidate must have experience in administering Snowflake environments.
  

Job Duties:

• Provide technical leadership and operational support for our Snowflake and Teradata environments.
  
• Responsible for operations support for Snowflake: Warehouse, User, Database, Schema, roles management.
  
• Provide expert support to optimize Snowflake workloads.
  
• Identify anomalies and report issues to management, such as incorrect grants, violations of environment barriers, and incorrect warehouse sizes.
  
• Collaborate with end users to resolve issues and fulfill user requests.
  
• Complete user requests and ServiceNow tasks in a timely manner.
  
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hour support as needed.
  
• Prioritize work and manage projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Technical Knowledge:

• 6-8 years of work experience in Snowflake Administration.
  
• Snowflake Certified.
  
• In-depth technical knowledge of Snowflake architecture and operation.
  
• Strong relational database and SQL skills.
  
• Solid understanding of Snowflake features such as Cloning, Share, Secure Views, Caches, Warehouse sizes, and scaling.
  
• Thorough working knowledge of tools and techniques required for the area of responsibility, along with a strong understanding of the business supported by assigned projects.
  

Soft Skills:

• A 4-year degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Experience working within a highly-matrixed organization.
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
