2.5 years of proven bookkeeping experience (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance) with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail. Hands-on proficiency in MYOB and Shopify; comfortable learning new e-commerce/admin systems quickly. Strong spreadsheet skills—Excel or Google Sheets—for data analysis, reconciliations, and custom reporting. Solid understanding of tax obligations and relevant compliance requirements. Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities; able to juggle routine bookkeeping with ad-hoc e-commerce tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident liaising with vendors, clients, and cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, proactive problem solver who identifies process improvements and resolves discrepancies independently.

Core responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records—including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, invoices, receipts, payments, and bank deposits—using MYOB and spreadsheets. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts daily/weekly to ensure transaction accuracy and completeness. Process vendor invoices in MYOB, verify pricing/quantities, and schedule timely payments; generate customer invoices via Shopify and follow up on outstanding balances. Produce regular financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and ad-hoc analyses to inform management decision-making. Support budgeting and forecasting by delivering timely, accurate financial data; highlight trends and variances. Assist with internal/external audits by compiling supporting documentation; proactively monitor compliance with accounting principles, payroll laws, and data-security standards. Assist with editing Shopify website as required, learn on the job. Ideal: willingness to assist with basic social media tasks (inbox monitoring, uploading a post) - learn on the job.
