Support Technical Assistant

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Support Technical Assistant to join our remote operations team. In this role, you will provide technical and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day digital operations. You will assist with troubleshooting, system support, documentation, ticket management, and coordination across departments.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple technical tasks efficiently in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support for internal systems, software, and remote tools

Respond to support tickets and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues

Assist with user account setup, password resets, and system access management

Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles

Support remote onboarding processes and system configuration

Monitor system alerts and escalate issues to senior technical staff when necessary

Assist with software updates, installations, and basic system maintenance

Collaborate with IT, operations, and project teams to ensure efficient resolution of technical matters

Track and report recurring issues to improve system performance and support processes

Required Qualifications

Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

1–3 years of experience in technical support, IT help desk, or related role

Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS), Microsoft 365, and common productivity tools

Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States with valid employment authorization

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, Google Workspace)

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices

Familiarity with networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, firewalls)

Previous experience supporting remote or distributed teams
