Delivery Programme Manager (PID0011 )

This is a remote position.

This is a full-time contract engagement for a senior-level professional, offering a daily rate. The role focuses on the strategic definition of development stages, gates, and platform evolution at a programmatic level. English is the only language requirement for this mandate, and the position requires only occasional onsite visits to Germany.

Responsibilities

• Programme Governance: Define and govern the stages and gates of the overarching development process by aligning with key stakeholders across development, operations, and product lines.
  

• Strategic Problem Resolution: Lead deep-dive initiatives into critical delivery challenges to define actionable solutions, ensuring technical problem-solving is coordinated with programme priorities and timelines.
  

• Systemic Optimization: Identify and bridge systemic gaps to ensure consistent resolution patterns across all engineering teams, using insights from escalations to drive structural process improvements.
  

• Platform Vision & Leadership: Provide the developer-focused vision for a centralised development platform (D4P) initiative, ensuring it supports scalable and efficient engineering across the entire programme.
  

• Stakeholder Enablement: Consult on industry best practices to ensure platform usability and performance, while orchestrating the onboarding and enablement of stakeholders onto the ecosystem.
  

• Engineering Excellence: Drive delivery speed by optimising engineering workflows, increasing automation, and integrating modern technologies, including AI-assisted development tools.
  

• Quality Strategy: Strengthen software quality at scale by improving test automation strategies and ensuring pipelines support fast iteration and safe, high-frequency deployment.
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the management and orchestration of complex, large-scale development programmes.
  

• Proven track record in delivery management within platform-centric development environments.
  

• Deep expertise in large-scale cloud platforms, their environments, and the operation of global infrastructure building blocks.
  

• Significant experience with test automation frameworks and infrastructure automation within modern CI/CD pipelines.
  

• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD pipeline management, including build, image registry, vulnerability scanning, and deployment processes.
  

• Advanced experience in observability, performance monitoring, and improving customer experience through technical telemetry.
  

• Proficiency with Kubernetes, containerisation, DevOps practices, and IAM/RBAC principles, including related observability solutions.
  

• Experience building infrastructure using open-source technologies and associated tools such as Terraform and Helm.
  

• High level of competence in using project management and documentation tools, specifically Jira and Confluence.
  

• Demonstrated ability in applying structured analysis and problem-solving methods to complex technical and organisational challenges.
  

• Fluent English in speech and writing.
  

• Eligibility Residency in the EU, EEC, UK, or Switzerland.
