Software Engineer (Remote)

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help build the systems that make returns effortless. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, learn modern tools and frameworks, and contribute directly to projects that improve reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction. Your day to day

• Take ownership of the successful implementation and delivery of new features and projects using a variety of modern languages and frameworks such as Golang, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL
• Actively participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the Happy Returns system
• Enforce clean code and excellent coding practices by conducting thoughtful code reviews
• Learn from senior engineers, contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuously expand your technical and problem-solving skills as you grow into more complex projects
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business goals into technical outcomes
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation workflows.
• Support the health and stability of our systems through thoughtful testing, monitoring, and debugging so we can achieve our mission of making returns beautiful for Shoppers, Retailers, and the Planet

The ideal candidate will have....

• 1-3 years of experience in full stack web application development
• Experience designing, implementing, and testing REST APIs
• The ability to efficiently ship clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• A strong interest in joining a highly collaborative environment and working daily with Product Managers, DevOps, and QA Engineers
• You’re curious and adaptable, always ready to explore new technologies, and introduce tools that make the team more effective.
• A self-starter mindset with the ability to learn independently and thrive in a fully remote work environment

Bonus points if you have....

• Experience with server-side languages such as Go or Python
• Proficiency in a modern JavaScript framework such as React
• Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, and Dynamo DB.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Interest in e-commerce, logistics, and/or sustainability 

This is a fully remote position and is not limited to candidates located in Georgia
