Job Description :

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

AWS Engineering & Application Migration:

  • Lead the operational setup, configuration, and support of AWS environments for application migration.
  • Perform cloud readiness assessments, dependency mapping, and architecture alignment for moving applications from on-prem to AWS.
  • Deploy and manage AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB, Route 53, and SNS/SQS.
  • Partner with development and cloud teams to implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.
  • Use Dynatrace and other data sources to baseline performance and inform migration decisions.

 

Infrastructure as Code & Automation (Terraform, Ansible):

  • Build and maintain IaC using Terraform (modules, state management, reusable templates).
  • Automate server configuration, middleware deployments, and environment provisioning with Ansible.
  • Improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency by integrating automation into CI/CD workflows.
  • Establish standardized automation patterns, modules, and scripts for application onboarding.

 

Observability & Monitoring (Dynatrace) - good to have:

  • Serve as a primary SME for Dynatrace across AppOps and application teams.
  • Configure dashboards, alerts, RUM, log ingestion, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring.
  • Develop tagging strategies, alerting policies, and governance for consistent app observability.
  • Analyze application performance issues using Dynatrace and recommend remediation or optimization actions.

 

Operations & Reliability Engineering:

  • Troubleshoot complex application, cloud, and infrastructure issues across all environments.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support improvements.
  • Implement SLOs, error budgets, runbooks, and alert policies to improve reliability.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to enhance deployment pipelines and environment stability.
Qualifications:

Core Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in Application Operations, Cloud Operations, SRE, or DevOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS production workloads, including: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, and IAM
  • Solid experience with Terraform (writing modules, plans, state management).
  • Strong Ansible experience for configuration management and automation.
  • Proficiency with Windows administration, shell scripting, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience operating and configuring Dynatrace Full-Stack Observability: OneAgent deployment, dashboards, alerts,  Distributed tracing, RUM, synthetics, and Log ingestion, service baselining, Smartscape mapping

 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with development, cloud, security, and product teams.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Ownership mindset with a focus on improving automation, reliability, and observability.

Benefits eligibility may differ depending on full-time or part-time status. Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $87,878 - $120,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
