Senior Front-End Developer (ReactJS and JavaScript)

Role: Senior Front-End Developer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months+ (with a possibility of extension)
Work Hours: 11am – 7:00pm IST
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in India)

Top Requirements - at least six years of strong hands-on experience, particularly in React.js, Spring Boot, API integration, and backend database handling. The ability to work independently in a complex environment is mandatory. While experience in the financial domain and Databricks is an added advantage, it is not mandatory. Key must-haves include responsive UI design, UX best practices, collaboration with backend teams, and familiarity with Agile and Git-based workflows.

Project Scope & Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance UI components for dashboards that expose and interact with data from Databricks.
• Participate in sprint-based development cycles, starting with business requirement reviews and progressing through design, development, and testing.
• Initial ramp-up includes reviewing documentation, watching recorded demos, and onboarding through knowledge transfer.
• Responsibilities include unit testing, UI development, and collaboration with QA (manual testing is handled by a dedicated team).
• Jira is used for backlog management and task tracking.

Technical Environment:

• ReactJS and JavaScript are core to the UI stack.
• Backend services are built using SpringBoot and REST APIs.
• Databricks (hosted on AWS) serves as the primary data platform, with PowerBI (hosted on Azure) used for visualization.
• Familiarity with Python and Spark is helpful for understanding data interactions.
• Testing tools include Tosca (current) and Selenium (legacy), with ongoing evaluation of automation options.

Workstreams & Business Context:

• The UI will integrate with approximately six workstreams over the next two years.
• Projects intersect with billing and revenue systems, including interfaces for billed and unbilled datasets.
• Functional analysts are supporting business requirement development where capacity is limited on the business side.
