Lead BI Developer

Summary

As a Lead BI Developer, you will be responsible for building and delivering advanced data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve complex use cases through strong architectural approaches, mentor team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, accurate, and insightful analytics.

 

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

• Lead data solution architecture and showcase ability to solve complex business use cases with scalable, efficient, and well-structured workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and analysts.
• Design, build, and optimize data workflows in Alteryx for preparation, blending, and transformation.
• Develop advanced dashboards and analytics in Tableau and/or PowerBI to enable intuitive business insights.
• Write, optimize, and maintain Python scripts for data analysis, automation, and integration.
• Work with large, complex datasets to ensure data quality, accuracy, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions.
• Establish best practices and standards for data workflows, reporting, and analytics.

Qualifications and Education:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 5+ years in a lead or senior developer/analyst capacity.
• Advanced expertise in Alteryx for workflow design and automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI for enterprise-grade reporting and dashboards.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and integration tasks.
• Deep experience working with data – data modeling, transformation, validation, and governance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
