Senior BI Developer

Overview:

Summary

As a Senior BI Developer, you will be responsible for enabling customer stakeholders in creating and improving workflows and dashboards. The role includes designing integration processes, developing BI solutions, and documenting systems and processes.

 

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

• Develop and improve workflows and dashboards.
• Develop and document functional and technical BI requirements, including data lifecycles.
• Support and implement BI best practices throughout the BI SDLC.
• Integrate data services via SDK and embed analytics in web applications.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy data integration processes for Redshift using a mix of Python and freehand SQL scripts.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy report/dashboard solutions via Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Create documentation for BI systems from a service desk perspective.
• Work with Technical Architects and the BI lead to document scope, tasks, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Create and update support documentation and review work products/deliverables for quality and progress; report and monitor project risks and issues to the PMO.

 

Qualifications and Education:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or other IT-related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python development.
• Experience using Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Experience working with data warehousing and analytical reporting.
• Demonstrated understanding of data modeling and its impacts on data warehouses, query performance, and reporting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
