API Engineer

Role: API Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 12 Months+
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Work Hours: EST
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in Mexico)

You will work on a variety of back-end projects to improve the developer experience of our public API. This might include a sandbox environment, webhooks, API key rotation, or versioning. You will contribute directly to these projects along with your teammates and will participate in code and design reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.

Requirements

• Experience collaborating with a remote team.
• A track record of writing high quality production code, demonstrating strong software engineering and coding skills.
• Experience with object-oriented software languages. The majority of work developed will be in PHP.
• Experience building and maintaining public REST APIs and related technical capabilities
• Experience using observability tools to monitor API usage and related metrics, such as Grafana and Big Query
