Role: Senior Software Engineer (Python/Angular.Js)
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 12 months+
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Work Hours: US Time
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM Countries)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to join a growing engineering team responsible for building and maintaining a suite of open-source–based web and desktop applications. This role requires deep expertise in Python and Django, strong full-stack capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Django-based web applications
• Lead and contribute to enhancements of front-end applications built in Vue.js and legacy AngularJS
• Develop and maintain desktop applications using Python (PyQT)
• Write clean, scalable, and well-tested Python , JavaScript , and SQL code
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams using English and Spanish daily
• Deploy, support, and troubleshoot applications in a Linux server environment
• Work within AWS-hosted environments (general familiarity required)
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across the team

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and Django
• Strong experience with SQL and PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Vue.js
• Experience supporting or modernizing legacy AngularJS applications
• Experience developing desktop applications using PyQT
• Strong working knowledge of Linux environments
• Familiarity with AWS (no specific services required)
• Experience working in open-source–based systems
• Bilingual – expert level in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with distributed teams
