As a Software Development Manager, your main role and responsibilities will include:
Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring that our software products are developed to the highest standards and meet our client's needs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and guide the organization in adopting them where appropriate.
Work closely with the project managers and business analysts to identify technical solutions to meet project requirements.
Drives project successful delivery.
Final Interviewer
Participate as a final interviewer for technical roles, ensuring that we are hiring the best talent for our organization.
Provide feedback and guidance to hiring managers on candidate evaluation and selection.
Technical Specialist
Act as a technical specialist, providing guidance and mentorship to developers on complex technical issues and challenges.
Manage bench resources by providing productive training, internal project deliverables, and resource assessment and guidance while resources are not deployed to projects.
Communicate and schedule periodic assessments for bench members, supporting consistent evaluation and progress tracking.
Conduct interviews for employment and/or internship candidates. Profiling of incoming hires.
Work directly with the Internal Software teams to identify, create and plan improvements to the existing platform.
Responsible for running the company’s process by keeping things up to date, running, maintained and improved.
Support the updating and maintenance of technical profiles for Full Scale clients within FS systems. This is straightforward as speaking to team members on client teams with incomplete technical profiles.
Support the updating and maintenance of technical profiles for Full Scale employees within FS systems. This will be accomplished by working with employees and the Marketing team to keep the technical profiles up to date. (Timely updates in the system during resource movement). To treat the Full Scale employee profiles, and the processes related to updating them as your “Product/deliverables” you are managing.
Build Training Paths
Work with the Head of Software Development to build training paths and career development plans for developers.
Identify areas for improvement and work with developers to close skill gaps and improve performance.
Fast Track Mentor
Provide mentorship and coaching to high-potential developers, helping them to accelerate their career growth within the organization.
Intern Mentor
Serve as a mentor to interns, providing guidance and support to help them learn and grow during their time with us.
Floor Management
Work with the development team to ensure that our work environment is productive, collaborative, and supportive.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence in software development.
Conduct PIP and PDP for members having performance issues.
Requirements
Extensive experience as a software developer, with hands-on involvement in building and delivering software projects.
Proven track record of delivering software projects successfully from design through deployment.
Strong foundation in coding, debugging, and building scalable solutions.
Up-to-date with current technologies and able to guide team adoption.
Experienced in leading technical teams, mentoring developers and interns, and fostering high-potential talent.
Skilled in interviewing and evaluating technical candidates, creating training paths, and closing skill gaps.
Adept at managing processes, technical profiles, internal resources, and career development.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
